Pim is an Assistant Professor in the Department of Biomedical Engineering and Edwards Lifesciences Foundation Cardiovascular Innovation & Research Center (CIRC). He loves exploring the outdoors, riding bikes, and playing music.

Felix is a postdoctoral researcher. His research focuses on the effect of heart rate and rhythm on cardiac mechanics and hemodynamics. He loves exploring the US national parks, either by foot, bike, or canoe.

Clara is a PhD student in biomedical engineering. Her interests include patient-specific cardiovascular modeling, cardiovascular health disparities, device design, and machine learning. She loves hiking, camping, gardening, film photography, and listening to music.

Adhithi is a BME PhD student. Before coming to UCI she worked on cell-based meat (salmon) at Wildtype. Her current interests include using computational modeling to address sex differences and obesity in cardiovascular diseases. She loves being out in nature, crocheting, hanging out with her cat, going on impromptu roadtrips, and meditating.

Christian Andrade Herrera is a Biomedical Engineering PhD student. Christian obtained a BS in chemistry from Albany State University. Their research focuses on understanding how early-life adversity and hormonal influences impact cardiovascular and pulmonary health. Christian likes to bake and write poetry.

Judith is a Biomedical Engineering PhD. She obtained her B.Sc. in Engineering from Swarthmore College. Her research interests include computational modelling and imaging. Her goal is to use these tools to better understand health disparities in different genders and races.

Ocie Mitchell Ocie is an undergraduate student majoring in Biomedical Engineering. He is interested in modeling the heart via computational pathways and plans to pursue a career in industry after graduating. In his free time, Ocie enjoys discovering new food spots, going to the beach, and playing video games.

Minnie is an undergraduate student majoring in biomedical and software engineering. She is curious about the cardiovascular system and interested in working in the industry. She enjoys playing video games, collecting figurines, and cooking.

Winston is an undergraduate student majoring in Biomedical Engineering. After his undergraduate degree, he hopes to attend medical school. Some of his hobbies include going to concerts, attending car shows, and going to the gym.

Emilio is a undergraduate student majoring in computer science and engineering. He is interested in computational bio and modeling systems. He is also considering graduate school in the future. In his free time, he enjoys outdoor hiking, rock climbing, and reading books.

Katelyn is an undergraduate student majoring in Biomedical Engineering. After her undergraduate degree, she hopes to attend medical school. Some of her hobbies include hiking, going to concerts, and cafe hopping.

Cadence is an undergraduate student majoring in biomedical engineering. She works on histology and microscopy analysis in the lab. She enjoys cooking, playing video games, and going on hikes.

Seoyeon is a Data Science major. She is currently interested in coding and is considering pursuing graduate school in the future. In her free time, she likes to play video games, go to karaoke, and eat hotpot.

David Martinez is an undergraduate student majoring in Biomedical Engineering and Business Administration, specializing in Organization and Management. After his undergraduate degree, he hopes to attend graduate school and become a project manager one day. His hobbies include traveling, hiking, and going to the gym.

Isabella Aleman is an undergraduate student majoring in Biomedical Engineering. She has interests in patient-specific cardiac computational modeling and plans on pursuing medical school. She enjoys making music including playing guitar and  game nights with her family and friends.

Hawk is a cat who forgets that he is one; loves watching humans cook, and tries very very hard to be the sous-chef. When not sleeping in the most random spots you can catch him climbing blinds, opening doors, and playing fetch. 

Pookie is a German Shepard- husky-lab mix and at 8 weeks old is adorable but time will tell on who he becomes! 

Coco is a tortoise that loves exploring and climbing up random places just like their owner. When he's not eating dandelions or strawberries (his favorite food), you can find chilling in his burrow - or challenging his reflection to a duel.
